Goldsboro/Fayetteville Sales Increase in Nov.

According to NCAR statistics, Goldsboro and Fayetteville were the 2 bright spots in North Carolina for the month of November for sales activity.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Sales of existing and new homes across the Triangle in November fell by 1 percent when compared to 2005, according to the North Carolina Association of REALTORS.However, in a bit of good news, the average sale price increased 2 percent over 2005 to an average closing price of $228,241.Across North Carolina, existing home sales were off 4 percent from November of 2005, the NCAR reported. The average sales price increased 1 percent to $217.615 from a year ago.Through November, however, statewide sales were up 4 percent from 2005.In the Triangle, 2,556 homes were sold in November compared to 2,590 in 2005. The November 2006 total was nearly 400 under the 2,953 homes sold in the preceding month.Across the region, home sales in November increased 19 percent in Fayetteville to 390 and increased 3 percent in Goldsboro to 116. However, sales dropped 12 percent in Rocky Mount to 92 and 26 percent in Pinehurst to 103.

November Triangle Market Reports

The Triangle MLS puts together some really nice reports with per county breakdowns of market activity and even market predictions by economists. The Goldsboro-Wayne County system is currently in the process of going through an upgrade. I will see if I can put something together for Goldsboro-Wayne County market as well in the coming months. The reports may take a little deciphering, but with a little study you can interpret some really interesting things.

NC Ranked Second in Southeast

North Carolina was recently ranked second in the southeastern United States in overall economic competitiveness by the Beacon Hill Institute. NC ranked 26th out of the total 50 states. I guess they didn't figure in weather or number of sunny days into this report :)

Wireless Access At MyGoldsboroAgent.com


We have added a new service for our clients at MyGoldsboroAgent.com. There is now wireless access throughout our office and the signal should transmit to your automobile in the parking lot. This is definitely a benefit for those of you who are traveling in from out of town and need to take care of some business or check e-mail and contact family members. Also, you can just browse the web on your laptop or PDA while waiting for your appointment! Just ask the receptionist in the lobby for the access password and start surfing!
